How We Helped Find Homes For 5 Rescue Pups – The Odd Dog Puppy Campaign

Puppy Campaign

It’s no secret: our team at Odd Dog is a team of dog lovers. With at least three pups in the office on a given work day, there’s never a shortage of heads to pet or bellies to scratch. That’s why, when October 2018 rolled around, we were compelled to do something to celebrate doggos everywhere (and I don’t mean by dressing our pups up for Halloween – although that may have also happened). As national Adopt-A-Dog month, October seemed like the perfect time to do some good for pets beyond the bounds of our lower Queen Anne office.

The Idea: A Bone-afide Puppy Raffle

After researching some options, we agreed to partner with Bravepup. A non-profit organization based in Seattle, Bravepup helps connect dogs rescued from kill shelters in Georgia to loving new homes in a unique way: by bringing them to the workplace. With Bravepup, companies can organize hours of puppy love to benefit employee health and wellness. The best part? All the dogs are fully adoptable.

Once we’d heard about the awesome work that Bravepup was doing, our path forward became clear: we would hold our first ever puppy raffle. The idea was simple; we would select one lucky workplace to win an afternoon with the dogs of Bravepup –  the bonus being that if anyone wanted to become a new dog parent, we would cover the adoption fees. During October we accepted hundreds of entries from businesses throughout the Greater Seattle area, all vying for a few hours of furry love. With so many entries, it was much to our astonishment – and excitement! – that the raffle winner was none other than Trupanion, the pet health insurance company headquartered in Georgetown. With our dog-loving team, the good folks of Bravepup, and a company devoted to pet welfare, we knew it would be a magical afternoon.

The Outcome: Adoptions Abound

And what a magical afternoon it was! If you ever wondered what pure, unadulterated joy looks like, check out the photos below. Turns out nothing brightens a gray November day in Seattle like a puppy party. And while everyone had a blast playing with the dogs, the best part was the outcome. By the end of the afternoon, five dogs had been adopted by members of the Trupanion team. With the help of our sponsorship, those sweet pups have now all gone home to their new families.

We so appreciate Bravepup for facilitating this event, and the team at Trupanion for finding new homes for puppies in need. At Odd Dog, we keep our values front of mind in all that we do: from honest SEO practices to compassionate client relationships. So, it was an honor (not to mention a ton of fun) to extend that mentality to our unabashed love for the animals we spend every day with.
