Happy last day of April!
I can’t believe that May is beginning tomorrow… time. amirite?
Let’s take a look at what’s been happening in the digital marketing world this last week, shall we?

GOOGLE LOCAL

• Google celebrates Local Business week by providing a free personalized marketing kit
Want a cool graphic like below for free?! Sure ya do.
To celebrate Local Businesses, Google Local has released this cool marketing kit that will pull in your Google reviews to make these printables or graphics to share on your social channels.

SOCIAL

• Facebook published content removal policies for the first time
More big news from Facebook this week. Facebook announced that they will now let publishers know exactly why their content was taken down when reported to moderators. In the past, Facebook had been vague about some of their content policies, and they are making a big step forward to make their guidelines clearer.
Snapchat testing six-second unskippable ads
In another effort to bring more advertising dollars to Snapchat, they are currently testing unskippable ads that will be shown on TV-like shows and not personal stories or Discoveries at this time.

GOOGLE

New Gmail features are on the way, including a confidential mode that lets users expire messages.
Have you ever sent an email with sensitive information and thought,”gosh, I really hope that person deletes that once they get the information they need?”
Well, soon you will be able to expire emails so you won’t have to worry about your info being stored somewhere it shouldn’t! Huzzah!
More updates include a visual redesign, and opening attachments without opening an email.

ADWORDS

Look Ma! No Keywords! Phrase free AdWords campaigns are here

Google is currently testing phrase-free Adwords for local businesses. Instead of keywords, Google uses GMB information such as location, address, and category to trigger relevant results.
